Apprentice
(3.9%)
This was meant to be a
totally different beer but Jeremy aka Dad aka The Apprentice
added Polish Marynka hops instead Challenger ones. We must let
him do this again though as it's a fine beer! Golden in colour, hoppy nose and
definitely a session beer.

Dengie Best Bitter
(3.6%)
A popular bitter to tempt those
who like a darker malty brew with plenty of flavour, not too much hop and at a
strength where you can make a night of it.

Hoppy Helper
(4.0%)
Brewed as the
Staff beer for the CAMRA Maldon Beer Festival since 2007 Light in colour with a
real hop kick. Refreshing and very more-ish. So good one of the local brewers
voted it 'Beer of the Festival' in 2007 where it gained more votes that the
'official' winner! Now our regular golden
ale.

Darker Mild
(4.3%)
A deep red mild.
Historically milds were much stronger than most available today with the 'mild'
referring to the amount of hops as opposed
to the alcoholic strength. So here's one with a bit more body than
most. A blend of dark 'Carafa' malts which are de-husked to
give a smoother flavour with a bit of sweetness to balance. Lightly hopped means it's ideal for those who don't like
bitter beers. Exhibited at the 2009 Great British Beer Festival at Earls Court,
London.

Crafty Stoat
(5.3%)
A truly special brew.
Made to a recipe developed by the Durden Park Beer Circle to recreate the Stout
brewed by Ushers Brewery back in
1885. Initially made with the assistance of members of the Craft Brewing Association and
the UK-Homebrew Digest at the
2008 'Flocculation' With six different types of malt and a huge amount of
English Fuggles hops this is a dark and complex beer.
